What is Onyx Research tesamorelin?

Onyx Research tesamorelin is the full 44-amino-acid GHRH with a trans-3-hexenoyl group on the front. That cap blocks the enzyme DPP-4, which normally breaks GHRH down within minutes. Theratechnologies developed it, and the FDA approved it in 2010 as Egrifta for excess abdominal fat in HIV-associated lipodystrophy.

Tesamorelin research

Falutz and colleagues reported in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2007 that 26 weeks of tesamorelin cut visceral fat by about 15% against placebo while raising IGF-1. Tesamorelin vs other GH peptides

Tesamorelin, sermorelin and CJC-1295 all act on the GHRH receptor. Sermorelin is the shortest fully active fragment, CJC-1295 No DAC is a stabilized version of it, and tesamorelin is the full-length hormone with a protective cap. Ipamorelin works through the ghrelin receptor instead, so labs often pair it with one of the three.

Mixing and storing tesamorelin

Add 2mL of bacteriostatic water for 5mg per mL, or 3mL for about 3.3mg per mL. Swirl, don’t shake. Keep sealed vials at -20°C and mixed vials at 2 to 8°C for up to about four weeks.
