NAD+ is a sealed vial with 500mg of freeze-dried research compound. It’s a coenzyme. It’s meant for lab and analytical work only.
NAD+ purity and COA
Every the peptide batch we list has a Freedom Diagnostics report behind it. The lab measures purity by HPLC and confirms identity by mass spectrometry, and you can open the full report in the photo gallery on this page.
- NAD+ 500mg: 99.931% purity, reported 11/24/2025, search code Onyx2511200079
The highest result on file is 99.931%. Each report carries a search code, so you can look it up on the Freedom Diagnostics website and check that it matches what’s shown here.
What is NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)?
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every living cell. It carries electrons in the reactions that turn food into ATP, and it’s used up by enzymes such as the sirtuins, PARPs and CD38.
Levels fall with age in several tissues in rodents and people, which is why the peptide and its precursors, such as NMN and nicotinamide riboside, have become a major topic in aging research.
Mechanism of action
NAD+ shuttles electrons in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle and the mitochondrial chain, so it’s needed to turn food into ATP. It’s also used up by sirtuins, which regulate gene expression, and by PARPs, which repair DNA.
Because those enzymes consume it, NAD+ levels depend on constant recycling. Falling levels with age are linked to lower sirtuin activity, which is the basis for most the peptide aging research.

Published studies
Work from Shin-ichiro Imai’s lab at Washington University linked falling the peptide to age-related decline in mice. In a small human trial published in Science in 2021, Yoshino and colleagues reported that the precursor NMN improved muscle insulin sensitivity in prediabetic women.
Most studies raise NAD+ with precursors such as NMN or nicotinamide riboside. Direct the peptide work is a separate research question.
The papers mentioned here are listed on PubMed, run by the National Institutes of Health. Start with this NAD+ search.
How NAD+ compares
In one line, the peptide is the coenzyme every cell needs for energy reactions and sirtuin activity. The closest alternatives work differently:
- Epithalon is the four-amino-acid peptide studied for telomerase and the pineal gland
Each one targets a different process tied to aging: telomeres, cell energy, oxidative stress, senescent cells or the thymus. Every one of them is in stock in our anti-aging peptides.
Mixing NAD+: a reconstitution chart
Concentration is simple division: the 500mg in the vial over the volume of water you add. Here’s the 500mg vial at three common volumes:
- Add 5mL: 100mg/mL (10,000mcg per 0.1mL, or 10 units on a U-100 syringe)
- Add 10mL: 50mg/mL (5,000mcg per 0.1mL, or 10 units on a U-100 syringe)
Give a cold vial five minutes on the bench, then swab the top. Let the bacteriostatic water trickle down the side and roll the vial gently between your palms. It should turn clear within a minute or two.
Storing NAD+
Put sealed the peptide vials in the freezer at -20°C if you won’t use them soon. A few days on a shelf during transit does no harm to dry powder. Once you’ve added water, the vial lives in the fridge at 2 to 8°C for up to about four weeks.
Mix one vial at a time. Dry powder keeps for months, but solution only keeps for weeks.
What to check on delivery
Each vial carries the black and white Onyx Research label with the compound, the amount, 99% purity and the research-use line. Check that the name and amount match your order and that the cap and crimp are tight.
Look for a dry powder. Loose pieces are fine. Wet or discolored material should stay out of your work, so contact us with a photo.
Log the date the vial arrived and, later, when and how you mixed it. It’s quick, and it saves a lot of guesswork if something goes wrong.
